Karl Deonanan is Vice President of Investor Relations at Quintiles, the world’s largest provider of biopharmaceutical development and commercial outsourcing services. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of Quintiles’ investor relations programs.

Deonanan joined Quintiles in 2003 to establish the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley Project Management Office. Since then, he has assumed roles of increasing responsibility, including working on a number of corporate transactions as well as financial responsibility for one of the Quintiles global service lines.

Prior to his Investor Relations role, Deonanan served as Vice President, Finance for Quintiles’ Customer Solutions Management Group, 2011-2013. There, he supported the sales organization with a variety of responsibilities including financial management and strategic pricing strategies.

From 2009 through 2011, Deonanan was Regional CFO for Quintiles’ Asia and Australia operations. In this role, he had responsibility for the Finance function across India, Australia, New Zealand, Greater China, Southeast Asia and Korea. In Asia-Pacific alone, Quintiles has more than 20 offices in 14 countries. While in this role, Deonanan was a member of the Quintiles Asia Pacific Management Board which was comprised of the Corporate Chairman and CEO as well as other senior executives.

Prior to Quintiles, Deonanan served as the CFO of Triumph Boats, a subsidiary of Genmar Holdings, the world’s largest boat manufacturer. He began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen and Dixon Odom.

Deonanan has served as a guest speaker at the Texas Pacific Group Pricing Forum and was a panelist at the Citibank Asia Pacific Treasury Conference.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Master of Science in Accounting from East Carolina University and his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
